ENVIRONMENTALISTS HAVE criticised the proposal to construct a third bridge across the River Tejo between Algés and Trafaria, claiming that this will increase pollution in Lisbon.
Environmental group Quercus is opposed to the project put forward by the Confederation of Portuguese Industry (CIP), as part of the wider study regarding Lisbon’s future airport. The report suggests that the bridge should be built even if the location of the new airport is not in Alcochete.
