Despite all the police investigations into alleged systemic corruption in Portugal, a new study has shown that practices of bribery and corruption are on the increase – with business leaders no exception. The Ernst & Young study reveals that “50% of Portuguese CEOs admit less than proper practices to favour company results”. Says Económico website, corruption is up 18% on last year’s Global Survey, though 90% of those interviewed are against it.
