Police are searching for a 25-year-old Brazilian woman who was last seen on December 6 in Quarteira.
According to Correio da Manhã tabloid, Josiele Rodrigues moved to Portugal around a year ago “in search of a better life”.
Josiele lives in Lisbon but is said to have moved to the Algarve temporarily at the start of the month for “work-related reasons”.
Authorities were alerted to her disappearance by friends on December 13.
Her mobile phone is turned off and authorities have been unable to track it.
An aunt has told CM that her family does not believe she disappeared “voluntarily”.
GNR police are investigating.
