Brazilian paraglider suffers multiple fractures in Sesimbra cliff fall

A 57-year-old Brazilian paraglider suffered multiple fractures when he came down on cliffs near Foz beach near Sesimbra and was trapped between rocks. Rescue workers spent two hours, first stabilising the injured sportsman and then winching him to safety. He was airlifted by helicopter to Lisbon’s Santa Maria hospital.

According to reports, the man was a practised paraglider with various years of experience.
