As the January transfer window closed Olhanense added three exciting new players to their beleaguered squad. 22 year-old Thalles is a 6’2” centre-forward from the Palmeiras club whilst Lucas Souza from the Paraná Clube (Southern Brazil) plays in midfield. The last of the trio is another forward 24 year-old Leandro Mauri, known as Pepe, formerly with the Canoas Sport Club. This brings to six the number of Brazilians – the others are Mauricio, Jander and keeper Rafael Bracali – playing for Olhanense.
