Brazilian art and the influence of Portugal

Brazilian art and the influence of Portugal

A talk on ‘Brazilian Art and the Influence of Portugal’ will be presented by Mary Mountford de Hunt on Monday, February 3 in the Tavira Municipal Library and on February 11 in the Lagoa Municipal Library, both from 6pm.
Mary Mountford de Hunt lived in Lisbon for four years in the 60s and in South America for 10 years until 1979. She painted professionally in those years, and it was in Brazil that she became interested in the history and art of that country.
There were very few written records of the history of Brazilian art, and she was compelled to research the subject herself. The circle has been completed because Mary Hunt now lives again in Portugal.
