Bragança mother leaves twin babies and three other children home alone for five days

A Bragança woman faces charges of child abuse and abandonment after leaving her five children ‘home alone’ for five days. Police were called to the woman’s apartment in Bragança after neighbours became aware of the situation, and found the youngsters (the smallest of which are twin babies) “barefoot, without any comfort, in total lack of hygiene”. The children have all been taken into care.
