In week three of the Super 10’s Competition, Valverde won six points from Alvor, Albufeira took six points from Tavira, and Balaia and Pedras shared their eight points with four for each club. Floresta were resting this week.
This changes things at the top of the table, with Valverde top, holding 17 points, Albufeira chasing on 14 points, and Balaia closing on 12 points. Alvor are the strongest team, holding up the rest of the table with four points. Early days with plenty of time for things to change.
The Winter League results have been delayed at this time, so more results next week.
A good day was enjoyed by many bowlers from several different clubs at Valverde Bowling Club on Poppy Day, November 11 to commemorate the Armistice 100 years ago. Teams took part in the two minutes’ silence before playing games all morning, then enjoyed lunch together. Many of the other clubs also commemorated the day with their own events.
