With just three weeks left in a 10 week tournament and the top two teams playing against one another, here was an opportunity for a couple of the lesser teams to close the gap a little.
Bottom of the table Larks recorded only their second victory of the competition beating the Doves in a very close encounter by 37 shots to 36, but taking 6 points to 4. This was the Doves fifth defeat in a row since beating Larks on May 17.
Huntsmen had lost the last 2 matches whilst Eagles had won both of theirs. A score of 41 shots to 32 and 6 points to 4 made it three in a row for both teams.
The top two; Tigers versus Kestrels with Tigers at home. Having lost the reverse fixture 4 points to 6, Kestrels made no mistake this time, running out winners by 47 shots to 26 and taking 8 points to 2.
No change therefore at the close: Kestrels now have 61 points, Tigers 50, Eagles 36, Doves 35, Huntsmen 32 and Larks 26.
