The visiting bowls teams continue to be welcomed by most clubs and the weather has been helping this week. Many of the visitors commented that it is rare for them to have weather as beautiful as ours for their summer outside season. Most visitors are coming to us at the end of their indoor carpet bowling season and preparing for their grass games.
All seven clubs in the Algarve are busy preparing for the Summer League which begins on Thursday, May 3, all games being in the same venue each week. The first game is at Alvor. Having had all this practice from the visiting teams, there should be some good games to be had. More news on results next week. MIRIAM HARE
