The Greens have recovered their composure after a recent wobble and collected the full eight points, winning 75-33 over Pedras Panthers, who have made a very promising start to their Bowls Algarve league career.
Tavira Tigers are once more on the prowl, beating the Valverde Vulcans by 70-35 and by eight points to nil. Valverde Vikings were at home to the ABC Cats, who have been in stunning form recently. Vikings however, were no respecters of reputations and swept the board eight – nil and by 79 shots to 30.
Cats therefore lose ground to the Greens at the top of the table. Another team on a bit of a charge at the moment are the Alvor Amigos, who continued their excellent form with a 50-40 victory at home to the also high-flying PDF Crusaders, Amigos taking six points to two.
Alvor Harlequins got their season back on track with a 63-43 win over the struggling Amendoeira Nuts team. Harlequins snatching six points to two. In the final match this weekend, Alvor Gladiators thrashed the PDF Sinners by 83-27 and took all eight points to help their league challenge.
Greens stretch their lead to ten points. They are on 58 and the Cats now have 48, followed by the Crusaders who remain third on 45 points. Gladiators also have 45, whilst Tigers climb to fifth on 44 points. Panthers slip to sixth on 43 points. Amigos now have 36 and Harlequins are on 35. Vikings have 30 points, Sinners remain on 20, with Nuts on 14 points just ahead of the Vulcans at the bottom with 12.
