Cats scratch Nuts – Gladiators cage Panthers
Week six saw the Gladiators at home at Alvor against the Pedras Panthers on Saturday, November 14.
The Gladiators were in convincing form and won 75-20, earning all eight points and lifting themselves to third in the table.
Also at Alvor, the Amigos continued their resurgence with a 66-50 victory over the plucky Sinners. Amigos took six points to two.
The Vikings and Vulcans clashed in an all – Valverde battle, which ended 48-46 in favour of the Vikings, though the points were shared
four each.
ABC Cats were also in excellent form, taking the full eight points off the Amendoeira Nuts and winning 75-20. PDF Crusaders meanwhile maintained their consistent form with a 83-39 home win over the Tavira Tigers, taking six points to two.
Finally the Greens continued their excellent unbeaten record with a sixth straight win, defeating the Harlequins by 63-44 and by six points to two.
Earlier in the week the Cats played the Harlequins in a match postponed from week three and won by 61-46 and by six points to two. Cats have now taken fourteen points this week alone and leap to second in the table.
Greens continue serenely onwards with 44 points, Cats have 32 and Gladiators have 30. Crusaders and Panthers are tied on 29 points, whilst Harlequins have 24. Sinners, Vikings and Tigers each have 20 points and the Amigos improve on 16 points. Vulcans on 12 points now go above the Nuts at the bottom of the table with 10 points.
