Tavira Tigers enjoyed a welcome return to winning ways with a 75-28 victory over the Amendoeira Nuts, taking all eight points.
The two Valverde sides clashed and the Vikings emerged triumphant, beating the Vulcans by 67-35 and adding the full eight points to their total and consolidating their impressive title challenge.
Earlier in the week, Vikings had played the Alvor Gladiators in a rearranged fixture and also won that by 48-42 and earning a further six points to two.
Alvor Harlequins were at home to the PDF Crusaders, both teams showing good form recently. Harlequins came out on top by 69-34 and took six points to the Crusaders two.
The top of the table clash was at Albufeira where the Cats entertained the visiting Greens. Cats put even further distance between themselves and their nearest challengers by winning 58-49 and taking six points to two, the Greens first loss of the season.
Alvor Gladiators made the short journey to PDF to play the Sinners and came away with an excellent win by 54-39 and eight points to nil.
Over at Pedras, the home side had a very close and tense match against the visiting Alvor Amigos. Pedras just edging home by 51-50 and by six points to two.
Cats remain firmly out in front with 66 points followed by the Vikings, up into second with 60 points. Greens slip to third on 53, whilst Harlequins have 48, equal with the Crusaders. Gladiators are on 44, Panthers have 34 and Amigos are eighth with 33 points. Tigers on 29, Vulcans with 16, Sinners on 13 and Amendoeira with 12 points complete the table.
