Barry Walton was the winner of the first Thursday Crown Bowls competition held on February 11 at the Amendoeira Bowls Club, between Silves and Alcantarilha.
After the cancelation of the Monday game, the weather on Thursday made for perfect bowling conditions and Barry Walton managed to beat Peter Cain 15-6 in the final.
The competitions are open to bowlers of all levels and cost five euros to enter with crown bowls competitions on Monday and Thursday from 10am and a flat competition held every Friday.
