More than 735 euros were raised for Cancer Research Portugal during the annual Barry Earl Memorial Day, held at Albufeira Bowls Club at Club Praia da Oura on February 3.
Ten teams were represented by players from Albufeira, Alvor, Parque da Floresta, Tavira and Valverde Bowls Clubs during the games, which were played throughout the day.
The home team of Chris Dudman, Derek King, Kevin Rowley, Jim Miller, Norman Wright and Michael Jelly emerged as winners of the trophy this year by winning all three of their games with the Parque da Floresta team being awarded second place.
