Border resolution

Faro and Loulé Câmaras celebrated a protocol on December 17 to resolve the issue of the boundary lines between the two councils, which has remained unresolved for more than 170 years.

The protocol includes the creation of a bi-party commission to discuss the situation definitively and resolve the border between the councils which affects around 500 hectares of land.

Two members from each council and one independent observer will form the commission which has 90 days to prepare a decision proposal to the councils and parish councils affected.
