Bones found

Human bones have been washed ashore close to where a human foot was found earlier this month at a beach near Vila Nova de Gaia, south of Porto.

According to Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã, two human femurs were found by local residents at Salgueiros beach, which were later removed by the maritime police and taken to the legal medical institute in Porto for analysis.

These are due to undergo testing to confirm whether they are linked to the human foot that was found on January 2. (See the Algarve Resident edition January 8).
