Bombs away

A SCHOOL in Wimborne, Dorset, was evacuated last week, after a student brought in what he believed was a harmless artefact to show friends.

It turned out it was a WWII shell and the teacher took it outside into the middle of the playing fields. The bomb squad were called and, when they arrived, they blew it up, leaving a sizeable crater.
