Members of the CASA social club presented the Lagoa Bombeiros with a cheque for more than €1,500, which was used to buy much needed equipment for the firefighters.
CASA is a social group that comes together once a month in local restaurants, with the next meeting of the group taking place on September 24 from 7.30pm at the Escondidinho restaurant in Carvoeiro.
Before that, on September 9, a day trip by train to Tavira has been arranged while those interested in the autumn trip to the Alentejo still have time to join the group.
