A charity concert at Lagos Cultural Centre on Saturday night raised €3,200 for the local fire brigade.
Three bands played to a full house and the organisers deemed the night a success with a “great atmosphere”.
Graham Roberts and member of organising band Quintessence said: “The event had something for everyone, with jazz and Latin music from Quintessence, Portuguese music from Nem Truz Nem Muz with Amelia Janes, and Rock n Roll from The Teds.
“There was even a magic routine during one of Quintessence’s songs, with scenes from films appropriate to the various styles of music showing in the background.”
After the interval, a raffle was held with 27 prizes, followed by all 13 members of the three bands playing a song together.
At the end of the concert, Graham Roberts presented the President of Lagos Bombeiros, Dr Paulo Morgado, with a cheque for the money raised.
