Sagres-born professional bodyboarder Joana Schenker is helping to promote Vila do Bispo by featuring in a new film designed to attract tourists to the borough.
The promotional film entitled “A Voz do Mar” (The Voice of the Sea) was officially presented on August 15 through the municipality’s social media sites.
Says the local council, “Vila do Bispo is known for its tranquil way of life and stunning landscapes which awaken the senses… Joana Schenker is perfect to inspire others to visit the area.”
It was in Vila do Bispo that she caught her first waves and has since won many national and European titles (click here: https://www.joanaschenker.com/).
