Body of missing teen found ‘caught in mud, in river’

The mystery of what happened to ‘FonFon’ – a 16 year old Chinese boy known by this nickname – a shortening of ‘Afonso’ – has become tragically clear: his body was discovered yesterday afternoon caught in the mud of the Soraia river, just 600 metres from the home in Porto Alto he shared with his family. As reports explain, ‘FonFon’ had been missing since October 30. He was last seen around 9.45am that day, when he should have been on his way to school. An autopsy will now take place to try and determine cause of death. PJ police have said “all options” are open. A post over social media from the school the boy attended stresses there were no visible signs on the body of any crime having taken place.
