After 27 days of ‘searches’, inquiries, heartache and mystery, the body of missing second-hand car dealer Filipe Silva has been found metres from his home, in an empty property belonging to his parents. A press conference given this afternoon, following a concerted effort by police using sniffer dogs, gave the message that authorities have ruled out third party involvement. Everything points to the 49-year-old father of two having committed suicide. Further details will emerge, but questions now are being asked as to why searches at the outset did not attempt to check the property in which the dead man appears to have been lying since December 30 last year.
