The body of a Portuguese man believed to be around 50 years old was found on Sunday, January 4, in the River Arade in Silves.
The body was found at around 11am near the municipal swimming pools and health officials confirmed that the man was dead at the scene.
A spokesman for the GNR told the Algarve Resident that the case was currently under investigation by the PJ.
