Capturing in a photograph the reasons why Lagos’ beaches have been awarded Blue Flags and the positive effects these accolades have had is the goal of a photography competition the town is hosting this summer.
Anyone aged over 14 can take part.
Each photographer can only submit one photo between August 1 and September 7.
The accepted photographs will be displayed on Lagos’ municipal Facebook page.
Those that receive the most ‘likes’ will be named the winners.
Prizes include shopping vouchers ranging from €100 to €200 at the Lagos Intermarché supermarket.
Winners will be announced on October 10, while the award ceremony is scheduled for the town’s municipal day celebrations on October 27.
Photos must be sent via email with ‘Photographic Competition’ in the subject box. It must contain the person’s full name, age, ID card number, full address with postcode, phone number and email address.
