Bloomsday in Lisbon

Irish Ambassador Declan O´Donovan welcomed guests to his residence in Restelo, Lisbon, to celebrate the works of James Joyce on Bloomsday.

Some of the works of the Irish writer and poet were performed on the evening along with a selection of classical and traditional Irish music from the era at the event organised by the Irish Association. Members of the Lisbon Players theatre company performed readings from Ulysses while the Lisbon String Quartet provided the music.
