The 19th annual Better Living in Portugal exhibition is fast approaching, taking place on October 12 and 13 at the Portimão Arena, and the ‘Community’ stand will be a special place for visitors to drop by this year.
Madrugada, which provides care and support for people affected by life-limiting illness and bereavement, will be there, while visitors will be able to sign up for the Associação Oncológica do Algarve’s Mamamaratona – their 19th walk/race against cancer will take place in a new location between in Vilamoura on October 27.
Another new feature for BLiP this year is a dedicated ‘Community’ stand. This will give smaller charity workers and fundraisers the opportunity to show the charity they raise funds for, not only to collect donations over the BLiP weekend but also to encourage others who may be looking for a good cause to support. If you’re someone who wants to get involved but don’t know where to start, BLiP EXPO could be the place for you to look into the opportunities.
For the full list of exhibitors, visit www.bliportugal.com – “you will find over a hundred reasons for you to visit this great event,” said organisers afpop, the association of foreign residents in Portugal.
See next week’s edition of the Algarve Resident newspaper for full details on BLiP, including the floor plan and exhibitor list.
