The 15th edition of the Better Living in Portugal Exhibition (BLiP Expo) is just around the corner, and hopes are that it will be “better than ever, with more exhibitors and an even wider selection of goods and services on offer”.
The event will take place on October 10-11 at the Portimão Arena and is known for giving expats and residents in Portugal a detailed look into what the country, more specifically the Algarve, has to offer.
Organised by the Foreign Residents’ Association Afpop, this year’s BLiP will see “a great mix of organisations, products and services on display, from insurance and financial planning assistance, to wines, health, sports, household equipment and artisans”.
Novelties include a promotional stand, which will be run by Monchique council for the first time, as well as a large inflatable golf clinic with high-tech equipment and professional advice for golfers to improve their game.
BLiP visitors will also be able to find out more about the Algarve Historic Festival, which will be held at the Portimão racetrack two weeks after BLiP and for which they can win VIP passes. Also on offer are tickets for the prestigious Portugal Masters golf event.
New caterers will be providing snacks, meals and beverages in the arena and Delta Cafés will provide a special coffee area. Additionally, Curiosa Indoor and Outdoor will set up a lounge area within the BLiP Shopping area for visitors to “relax”.
Afpop says that the BLiP Shopping area is already “fully booked and, with only four weeks to go, final arrangements are in place to allocate the few remaining exhibition stands within the main exhibition area”.
Finally, the organisers say that their own stand will have a “new, fresher look with the help of Jardíssimo Landscape Gardening”, and all the head office staff will be on hand to assist members with any questions, renew subscriptions and welcome newcomers.
BLiP will be open between 10am and 6pm on Saturday, and 11am and 5pm on Sunday.
Entry and parking are free, and a “dedicated, professional childcare team will be on hand to look after the younger visitors”.
