Blevins Franks sees red for charity

Blevins Franks Charitable Foundation hosts ‘Paint the Firm Red’ event

Blevins Franks Charitable Foundation hosted an awareness day on June 24 at the Blevins Franks Wealth Management office in Loulé.

Blevins Franks dedicates one day a year to raise the profile of the Foundation and collect contributions. Called ‘Paint the Firm Red’, offices across Portugal, Spain, France, Cyprus, Malta and the UK organise events or initiatives in support, usually with a ‘red’ theme.

Over the five years since its inception in 2017, the Charitable Foundation has supported over 264 causes across six countries, donating over €172,000. Funds are contributed by Blevins Franks management and staff, clients, and through fund-raising events.

The Foundation helps causes that support the communities in which the company operates. Its grants fund work with disadvantaged children, vulnerable adults, homelessness prevention, animal rescue, anti-bullying projects, lifesaving medical treatment, food banks and community canteens, promoting positive mental health, children and adults with disabilities etc.

This year, the Blevins Franks Portugal team were joined by local clients, friends and, most importantly, representatives from the charities supported so far in 2022: APAV Victim Support; Special 21; Agrupamento de Escolas Silves Sul, and Cadela Carlota.

Dionne Curry, the local Foundation committee representative, shared their appreciation to all in attendance, thanking them for the kind support given on the day and throughout the year by so many. This enables the Foundation to make an impact in our local community and support those who are in need of a helping hand.
