LISBON’S TOURISM association (ATL) celebrated its 10-year anniversary on Tuesday.
The non-profit private organisation had 81 industry associates in 1997 but this has increased over the years to 515 today.
The majority are hotel companies and restaurateurs, of which there are 155 and 109 members, respectively.
Lisbon celebrated its best year to date for tourism in 2006, as a result of marketing campaigns by companies like the ATL.
