C&A recently launched a collection using 100% organic cotton. Under the brand name Bio Cotton, the clothes are produced according to the European Ecological Directive.
The collection includes menswear, womenswear and children’s clothes including jeans, T-shirts, sweatshirts, underwear and babywear. From March next year, there will be even more to choose from.
With the increased demand for ecological cotton, which is cultivated without the use of artificial fertilisers or chemicals, C&A is encouraging sustainable agricultural production to shift to environmentally friendly cotton cultivation. In cooperation with the organisation Organic Exchange, C&A plans to further boost the use of Bio Cotton in the years ahead.
C&A is not charging higher prices for Bio Cotton products despite the fact that the raw materials are more expensive than the normal cotton products. Therefore, C&A not only offers the customers a significant financial benefit, but also acts in favour of the environment.
