August is usually one of the hottest months of the year in the Algarve and so members of the Algarve Senior Bikers do not have their regular monthly ride out. Instead it has become a tradition to have a social lunch at the Faro Moto Club headquarters.
Mike Sanders arranged the lunch and members were treated to the kind hospitality of the club restaurant and bar staff.
Lunch was a choice of fish or meat followed by a traditional Portuguese dessert which was enjoyed on the shaded outside terrace.
Looking forward to September, there will be the World Superbike racing at the Portimão racetrack, which will be followed by a usual monthly ride and lunch at a date to be confirmed. Later in the month, ASB is planning a three-day tour to the northwest of Portugal.
