Big changes afoot

With the transfer window re-opening at the end of the month Olhanense have already terminated the contracts of four players – Pouye, Tibor Cica, Bessa and Diego Gonçalves. Further departures are expected. Possible replacements include three players from Portimonense who are having a successful season at the top of the 2nd Division.

Defender Nelsinho and the promising young midfield player Mica are high on the radar. The third player is Dyego Sousa but his contract runs until 2015 and the Portimão based club will undoubtedly demand a fee. Another player who could be returning to Portuguese football is Brazilian midfielder Diogo Melo, 29, currently playing in Cyprus. He previously played for Portimonense (2007 to 2010) and Académica (2010 to 2012). Another addition could be the return of popular midfielder Paulo Sérgio, currently with Arouca, who had two seasons with Olhanense from 2009 until 2011.
