Algarve golfer Ricardo Santos celebrated the biggest success of his career in Sweden last weekend.
The 28-year-old Oceânico Victoria course Pro carded seven birdies on his way to a 16-under-par maiden European Challenge Tour victory at ‘The Princess by Schuco’ event in Bara. The 75,000 euro winner’s cheque received from Ryder Cup star Henrik Stenson not only catapults Santos to the head of the Challenge Tour money list but also guarantees an all-important top-20 finish this year which will see him compete on the tour proper next season.
