Bidets and bathtubs “no longer obligatory”

As part of its reported focus on simplifying licensing for new properties, the government is proposing to drop builders’ obligation to include bidets and bathtubs in the construction of new bathrooms. Strangely, this does not appear to be a decision influenced by water scarcity, although by doing away with these features water consumption overall is almost certain to reduce.
