Acclaimed international author Lisa St Aubin de Terán is due to visit the Algarve from November 27 to December 6 to talk about her novels and also about project work in Mozambique where she is currently living.
This will be the author’s first visit to Portugal.
Lisa has travelled extensively and lived in England, Venezuela and Italy. Now in Mozambique she has set up a number of sustainable development projects and describes her initial experiences in her latest memoir, Mozambique Mysteries (2007).
Her first novel Keepers of the House (1982) won the Somerset Maugham Award and she received the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize for The Slow Train to Milan (1983). Lisa is currently working on her 21st novel.
There will be an opportunity to hear Lisa talk about her writing and Mozambique projects at Tavira Garden Restaurant on Saturday, December 3 at 12.30pm with drinks and canapés followed by a lunch (€20 per person all inclusive and €8 drinks and canapés only).
On Sunday, December 4 Lisa will hold a writers workshop in Morenos, north of Tavira (€20 per person including refreshments).
