Henrique de Castro may well go down in history as the luckiest Portuguese ever to get the sack. The former chief operating officer of Yahoo! has just been laid off in a €80 million severance package.
Marissa Mayer, head of Yahoo!, was not satisfied with his results after just 15 months in the job.
The sacking payout includes salary, bonus, stocks and his compensation from leaving Google in 2012, where he was vice-president of publicity and media.
