A guide to help avid birdwatchers identify “any bird species at any time of the year”has been launched in the Algarve by authors Lars Svensson, Killian Mullarney and Dan Zetterström.
Described as the “best ever guide on European, North African and Middle Eastern birds”, the Guia de Aves covers habitats, geographical areas and the description of each bird species, complemented by 3,500 illustrations. It also includes maps for Portugal and Europe, with detailed information about migration routes and birdwatching spots.
The 448-page Guia de Aves, priced at €33, has been translated, and scientifically revised, into Portuguese by the Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds (SPEA).
