Bensafrim set for more business

A new industrial site, due to be completed in the next two years in Bensafrim, will provide more than 70 jobs for the concelho of Lagos. According to the president of Bensafrim’s freguesia, João Luís Gomes, “this undertaking will mark a significant development for the area and benefit many people.”

Local authorities are very happy with the plans and have commented that “the freguesia currently suffers from being in the interior of the Algarve and is therefore in urgent need of capturing new markets” – something which they hope the development will provide. The industrial zone will be around 150 metres from the entrance to the Via do Infante and 25 businesses will open premises on the site.
