Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira condemned last week’s vandalism at the Benfica Cafés (Casa do Benfica) in Quarteira, Faro and São Brás.
“I wanted to show my solidarity with our supporters in the Algarve and assure them that the best answer we can give these cowardly attacks is to ignore them and carry on as usual,” said the president in his message to the fans.
The houses were vandalized with green paint and some club flags were mutilated. The incidents were reported to the GNR.
