Benagil beach protected

In a €16,000 investment, Lagoa council has hired two lifeguards and forged an agreement with maritime authority AMN to have a jet ski available at the borough’s popular but previously unmanned Benagil beach. Famous for its stunning sea cave, the beach will be protected until October 15. Authorities are often called to rescue people from the cave after they venture to it alone and become caught out by the rising tide.
