Bella Acapella singers happily brave cold to perform for eager audience

Donning bright new outfits, the singers from Bella Acapella braved the cold for an outdoor performance last Saturday at the Associação Cultural Re-Criativa República 14 in Olhão. As they said: “It was a challenge, but we did it with joy and inspiration!”

After so many months without performing in public, the group was further encouraged by the sold-out event which attracted an audience of 60 who listened to “beautiful songs, some emotional, some lighter, others funnier”, including an “outstanding song” by The Rainbows octet, a set of eight Bella singers.

The Bellas, as they are called, will return to the stage on Saturday, November 20 at the Igreja do Carmo, Rua Montalvão, 12, in Tavira.

Bella Acapella Chorus is a barbershop chorus of 24 members and eight nationalities.

The barbershop style is an unaccompanied vocal singing in close harmony characterised by four-part chords for every melody note: lead, tenor, baritone and bass.
