Singers graced with glorious Algarve sunshine
Last Saturday, May 28, the Bella Acapella choir held an outdoor performance in Loulé in front of a “delighted, moving audience” who was only too keen to applaud the singers.
After December’s break, the group returned to rehearsals every Wednesday night at the Re-Criativa República 14 cultural association in Olhão.
Under Rob Does’ direction, the singers have been doing their best to improve and master their repertoire and are pleased to announce the addition of two new songs – Dolly Parton’s ‘Nine to Five’ and Stevie Wonder’s ‘Isn’t She Lovely’.
“We performed them for the first time last Saturday and we loved it! And the audience too, hopefully, judging by the applause,” said Alexandra Bitoun, spokesperson for Bella Acapella.
“It was amazing, feeling joy, giving energy, sharing and blending. These are just a few words to describe the strong feelings that singing provides.”
Join the group at their next performance at Herdade da Corte, north of Tavira, on Saturday, June 25 at 6.30pm. Cost is €6.
