SILVES BEER festival is in danger of being cancelled for the first time in its 30-year history, as the future of the club that organises it looks shaky.
The festival, which usually takes place in July, is an important asset for Silves tourism and Câmara President Isabel Soares has said that she will try to do everything in her power to ensure it goes ahead. She suggested the possibility of the festival being postponed to September and organised on a smaller scale. A definite decision is expected to be made by June 22.
