Welsh model Samira Mohamed Ali was taking a break in the Algarve this week before travelling to London for Bollywood meetings and preparing for her part in Miss Photogenic of the World.
The model, who is half Arabic and half Portuguese but was raised in Wales, was visiting her grandmother in Mina de São Domingos and then staying in Albufeira .
Samira told the Algarve Resident: “My mum was born in Portimão and we love coming over here for family holidays. Usually, I am attending A-list parties in London so it is great to be able to dance through the night during the traditional festival held in my grandmother’s village.”
As the current holder of the Miss Photogenic Wales title, Samira will be competing for the title of Miss Photogenic of the World at the end of August in an event to be held at Epsom Racecourse in England.
“Miss Photogenic of the World competition is a big opportunity and I am hoping to do well for Wales,” said Samira.
“I have been concentrating on my presenting and modelling but producers are coming over to talk with me when I get back to discuss a possible future for me in Bollywood movies.”
