A new exhibition of works inspired by the west coast of the Algarve will open at the Galeria Corte Real, near Paderne, tomorrow (Saturday).
Interior design specialist Tom Compton has curated the exhibition of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, lamps and driftwood chandeliers with many of the materials used coming from Carrapateira and other nearby beaches.
Some of the pieces in the exhibition will include works from artist Jane Skingley and images of tender beach moments as captured by French artist Isabelle Zutter.
During the opening weekend, there will be opportunity for guests to enjoy wine tasting organised by the Adega do Cantor winery accompanied by smoked salmon canapés from Bistro des Z´Artes.
Meanwhile, the Griffin Bookshop will be providing a selection of books chosen to match the beach theme of the exhibition.
The gallery is open between 11am and 5pm from Thursdays to Sundays.
