The Casa do Cavalinho has been in the historic centre of Albufeira since 1992.
This jewellery and watches shop features many recognisable brands and pre-owned watches, and buys and sells some of the best names in the business such as Rolex, Omega, Breitling, Cartier, IWC and Jaeger-Lecultur, among others. It is also possible to have repairs done in-house, valuations for insurance purposes, watch and jewellery cleaning, battery replacements, cosmetic refinishing (such as replacing gold or rhodium plating) and watch adjustments.
Professional goldsmith Jorge Matias, and his team of skilled artisans, create fine handmade jewellery, specialising in providing a highly bespoke jewellery design and manufacturing service, teamed with an ability to translate each client’s personal requirements into reality. Along with design and manufacture, Casa do Cavalinho’s multi-lingual team also offers a jewellery repair as well as engraving service.
Having studied at a jewellery school in Brussels, Belgium, and with more than 30 years of experience in jewellery design and fabrication, Jorge is passionate about making beautiful creations for each client. “We specialise in unique custom made luxury jewellery, bracelets eternity rings, wedding rings, gems, diamonds and diamond solitaire rings, but we also melt down old gold jewellery and can create something entirely new and modern from it”, he tells us.
In addition to buying silver and gold, they also buy old watches, even if they are no longer working, are distressed, or have missing parts. And for specialist accessories, spare parts and boxes, Jorge will also be able to offer advice and source matching items for his customers.
Casa do Cavalinho is located at Rua João de Deus 24A, near the beach access tunnel in the old part of Albufeira, and is open Monday to Saturday from 10.30am until 1.30pm.
