The founder and former president of Millennium BCP, Jorge Jardim Gonçalves, could pay a €10 million compensation to the Portuguese State for the crimes of falsification of information and market manipulation. Alongside the bank’s former administrators, Filipe Pinhal, António Rodrigues and Christopher de Beck, Jardim Gonçalves is the main defendant of a lawsuit filed by the Portuguese Public Prosecutor’s Office. The lawyers of all four defendants and the Prosecutor’s Office made their final allegations on September 10.
