IF YOU are hankering after a juicy steak, cooked just how you like it, visit the new English steakhouse at Bayside, next to the Salgados Golf Course. With idyllic gardens, a pool to relax in and an air-conditioned restaurant, Tom and Caroline’s new venture is perfect for whiling away those long summer days.
Both have many years’ experience in catering. Tom, a chef in the UK for 20 years and a catering advisor for a major brewery for five years, decided to open an English-style steakhouse in the Algarve. “I only have quality meat at low prices and can offer customers good service without them paying a fortune,” Tom said. He does most of the cooking, while Caroline ensures that the food is coupled with excellent service.
As well as an extensive steak menu, you can also enjoy a three-course Sunday lunch with a choice of three roasts for just 8.50 euros. As an opening special, Tom and Caroline are having a ‘2-4-1’ offer on Sunday lunches, served between midday and 5pm, on April 24. Any two, three-course Sunday lunches can be enjoyed for the price of one! Bookings are advisable.
A full English breakfast is served for five euros and the steak menu is served until 10pm everyday. Lunchtime diners won’t miss out either – the dish of the day with dessert and a free glass of house wine is available for just five euros, Monday to Saturday, midday to 3pm.
There is live music on weekends during the summer months. Private parties can be catered for up to 150 people.
