Members of the Royal British Legion enjoyed a Battle of Britain themed lunch on September 21 at the Holiday Inn Algarve in Armação de Pêra.
September 15 marked the anniversary of the Battle of Britain and 38 members and guests of the Royal British Legion remembered the day with a three-course lunch and raffle to raise funds for the charity.
At the lunch the director of the pharmacy museum of Lisbon, João Neto, joined the guests. He is currently trying to contact World War 2 veterans living n Portugal to discuss their experiences and can be called on 917 214 507.
The next monthly lunch from the Royal British Legion will be held on October 19 at the Holiday Inn Algarve and the theme will be the Battle of Trafalgar.
